From August 16-19, the Interplast 2016 took place in Joinville, Brazil. The fair is the premier platform for the plastics industry in the region. This year, no less than 380 exhibitors presented new trends and technologies for the plastic processing industry.
Despite the adverse macroeconomic situation, the show was a great success – 22,000 visitors from the 23 Brazilian States and from 17 countries abroad – mainly South America, Europe, India and Asia – were closing business deals of estimated 350 million Reais (about $107 million).
More than 50 percent of visitors were decision makers looking mainly for innovative solutions to master their daily challenges as well as for alternative suppliers, enabling them to improve competitiveness of their companies.
With its presence at the fair, Baerlocher demonstrated its long-term commitment to the Brazilian market. At its stand, the team of Baerlocher do Brasil welcomed more than 100 customers from all over Brazil and South America for technical and commercial discussions. Baerlocher´s innovative solutions enable the plastic producers to improve cost and production efficiency as well as the quality of their products.
The focus of Baerlocher´s presentation at the show was on rigid PVC such as for pipes and profiles. With its leading role in the transition from conventional to Ca-based stabilizers, Baerlocher is perfectly positioned in these segments.
“Every Interplast is the perfect platform to reinforce customer relationships and discuss new market trends,” comments Juarez da Costa Silva, Managing Director of Baerlocher do Brasil. “Despite the difficult economic conditions, customers are very interested in new technologies to further improve their processes and products,” adds Valdemir Fantacussi, Head of Business Development and Key Account Management.
